PRESS STATEMENT
For Immediate Release
April 21, 2026

The OAMF is putting the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on notice: stop burning millions on panic phone calls. Osun has moved on, and no amount of airtime can buy back a rejected past.

For two weeks, verified reports from all 30 LGAs and 332 wards confirm the same embarrassing pattern — APC agents, call centers, and ward coordinators dialing Osun residents from dawn to midnight, begging for votes ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship poll. The result? A statewide blockade.

Phones are ignored. Calls are cut. And when citizens do answer, one thunderous chorus shuts down the line: “We are for Imole. We no dey go back desert again.”

OAMF’s Indictment of APC’s Desperation:

1. The Rejection Is Complete, Documented, and Loud. From Ede to Ilesa, Ife to Osogbo, Iwo to Ikirun — market women are dropping your calls at Bisi Market, okada riders are laughing you off at Oke-Fia, civil servants are forwarding your numbers to spam. Osun remembers 12 years of half-salary, 12 years of abandoned flyovers, 12 years of “technical” governance without a human face. That era is buried.

2. Imole Is No Longer a Slogan — It’s a Salary Alert. Governor Ademola Adeleke ended the half-salary humiliation within 100 days. He cleared inherited salary arrears. He put contractors back on site in Gbongan, Osogbo, and Ikire without owing kobo. Pensions are dropping monthly. That is why “Imole” now means food on the table, not just light bulbs. You cannot campaign against a bank alert.

3. You Cannot Phone-Bank Amnesia Into Existence. No call center can delete the memory of owed gratuities. No SMS can reconstruct schools APC abandoned. No “please vote us” voice note can pave the roads your government ignored. Osun people have receipts — payment receipts, project receipts, dignity receipts. APC has only missed calls.

4. Your Crowd Is on Your Call Log — And They’re Hanging Up. Ward meetings are ghost towns. “Mega rallies” are filled with rented wrappers and imported buses. The only place APC is trending is in rejected call lists. Even your own members are whispering: _“Kò le work.”_ It cannot work.

5. Save Your Energy. Save Your Airtime. Save Your Shame. OAMF’s advice is free: channel that phone-banking budget into community projects. At least posterity will say you did something useful before August 15. Because August 15 is not an election. It is a coronation of performance.

Osun has tasted governance with empathy, capacity, and cash flow. The people chose light over darkness in 2022. In 2026, they are choosing to keep the light on.

Imole ti tán láyé. No going back to desert.
