The Founder and Convener of the Obailukan Strategic Support Group for Atiku (OSSAT), Hon. Toyin Anibire Adams, popularly known as Obailukan, has assured the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that Nigerians will not tolerate any form of electoral manipulation or rigging in the 2027 general elections.
Obailukan said the era when the will of the people could be subverted through backdoor manipulations, mutilation of results, or compromise of the voter register is over, stressing that Nigerians are now more conscious, more organized, and more determined to defend their votes from polling units to the final collation centres.
He expressed deep concern over the glaring irregularities already discovered in the preliminary voter register currently displayed by INEC, which includes AI-generated faces, duplicate photographs, cartoon-like images, and fictitious entries across several polling units nationwide. He noted that what should be a credible national register has been littered with strange, unverifiable faces that clearly do not represent real voters.
According to him, the admission by INEC itself has vindicated the concerns of Nigerians. He recalled that INEC’s Director of ICT, Mr. Lawrence Bayode, admitted on ARISE News on October 31, that registration officers compromised the process by introducing questionable records, while INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, on October 30, admitted that the Commission has received over 4,800 claims and 600 objections and that the online display is confirming the complaints.

“If INEC’s own officers can inject thousands of fake, AI-generated voters into the preliminary register, how can Nigerians trust that the same Commission can protect the ballot on election day? If you can not secure the register, how will you secure the election?” Obailukan queried.
He insisted that the excuse by INEC that what was published is just a “preliminary register that does not reflect ongoing cleanup” is untenable. According to him, the purpose of displaying the register under Section 19 of the Electoral Act 2026 is to correct minor errors such as misspelt names or wrong age, not to clean up thousands of fictitious human beings deliberately inserted by compromised officials.
Obailukan warned that electoral rigging does not start on election day; it starts from the voter register. A fraudulent foundation can not produce a credible election. He therefore urged INEC to go beyond internal clean-up and subject the entire 103 million voter register to a transparent, forensic audit involving political parties, civil society organizations, and independent international observers before publishing the final register on December 15.
He assured INEC that patriotic Nigerians will be fully mobilized to monitor the process. Every polling unit will be watched, every result sheet will be photographed, every collation center will be documented, and every attempt at manipulation will be exposed in real time.
“INEC must understand that 2027 is not 2023. The tolerance level for electoral fraud is zero. Any polling unit where figures are inflated, any collation center where results are mutilated, and any server where numbers are altered will be exposed. Nigerians will defend their votes peacefully but firmly,” he stated.
He called on INEC to restore public confidence by publishing polling-unit by polling-unit details of the claims and objections received, prosecuting its compromised registration officers, and ensuring that the final register is clean, verifiable, and free from AI-generated voters.
“We are assuring INEC that we want a credible election, but we will not tolerate manipulation or rigging on election day. The ballot must count, and the will of the people must prevail,” Obailukan added.
