The viral video confession of suspects paraded over an alleged assassination plot against Hon. Wole Oke has exposed a shameful plan.
What was presented to the public as an assassination plot is now clear as a made-up story meant to frame innocent ACCORD members and attack the opposition.
Hon. Wole Oke and the Osun State Commissioner of Police now face a credibility setback. The police said publicly that the suspects mentioned big names, while hiding their real statements. This is a clear abuse of government institutions meant to damage political opponents and gain cheap popularity.
This matter is bigger than the Osun APC Director-General. It points to Hon. Wole Oke as someone who always plans lies to destroy his rivals and stay in control. For years, this habit of framing people, telling lies, and using government institutions for personal gain has been his way of doing politics.
People of his level are not expected to be involved in this kind of dirty politics. Osun politics is different. The people of Osun are smart, intelligent, and they know what is right. Instead of trying to cause trouble and blackmail innocent ACCORD members, he should come out and address the people. He owes the entire people of Osun State an unreserved apology for this shameful act that was meant to create crisis and damage the image of the opposition.
To the young people being used as political thugs: take note. While the children of these leaders are studying in good schools abroad, you are the ones being used and dumped in their dirty politics.
The quick release of this video confession has destroyed their plan. Osun State deserves better than leaders who use the police for personal fights. This confession is enough proof.
