The Founder and Convener of the Obailukan Strategic Support Group for Atiku (OSSAT), Hon. Toyin Anibire Adams, popularly known and loved as Obailukan, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the government and good people of Ekiti State on the occasion of the 30th Anniversary of the creation of the state.

In an emotional goodwill message to commemorate the historic milestone, Obailukan said the 30th anniversary is not just a celebration of statehood, but a celebration of a proud, resilient, industrious and highly cerebral people whose contributions to Nigeria’s development remain invaluable. He noted that since its creation on October 1, 1996, from the old Ondo State, Ekiti State, the Land of Honour and Fountain of Knowledge, has grown in leaps and bounds, distinguishing itself as a beacon of education, integrity, culture and excellence.

According to him, “Thirty years is a remarkable journey of growth, identity and progress. Ekiti has shown the world what it means to be honourable, hardworking and deeply rooted in culture and intellect.” Obailukan, who holds Ekiti people in high esteem, spoke with deep affection about the unbreakable bond between Ondo and Ekiti States, describing the two states as twins separated by administrative convenience but bound together forever by blood, history, love and shared destiny.

“Ondo and Ekiti remain inseparable in all ramifications. We are one people. We share the same ancestry, the same language, the same traditions, the same values and the same spirit. What binds us is far stronger than any boundary,” he said. He added that the love between the two sister states has continued to blossom over the years, reflected in inter-marriages, cultural exchanges, social harmony and mutual respect.

Obailukan therefore called for deeper collaboration and unity between Ondo and Ekiti in key areas such as economic development, youth empowerment, education, tourism, agriculture and regional integration for the overall benefit of the people. He also paid glowing tribute to the founding fathers, past and present leaders, traditional rulers, and all stakeholders who have laboured and sacrificed to build Ekiti State in the last three decades, noting that their legacies will continue to inspire generations.

While congratulating Ekiti sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora, he prayed for sustained peace, unity, progress and prosperity in the Land of Honour. “On behalf of myself, my family and the entire OSSAT family across Nigeria, I felicitate with our beloved brothers and sisters in Ekiti State. 30 hearty cheers to a great people. May Ekiti continue to rise,” he concluded.
