The 2025 NECO SSCE performance ranking has exposed the desperation of opposition critics in Osun State, particularly members of the APC, who have continued to peddle false narratives against the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke

According to the ranking now circulating nationwide, Osun State emerged 1st in the Southwest and 7th overall in Nigeria in the 2025 NECO SSCE performance table.

This is not propaganda. It is measurable evidence of progress in the education sector under the Adeleke-led government.

For months, APC elements attempted to convince the public that Governor Adeleke failed in education through radio commentary and online posts. But today, facts have answered them louder than politics ever could.

If a state that was once ranked far below suddenly rises to becoming one of the best-performing states in Nigeria, then what exactly is failure?

Governor Adeleke inherited challenges, including dilapidated schools, poor infrastructure, low teacher morale, and years of neglect. Rather than trade blame, his administration went to work. Schools were rehabilitated, teachers were supported, learning environments improved, and education was returned to the priority list.

This achievement is not just about numbers on a chart. It means thousands of Osun students performed better. It means parents can have renewed hope. It means teachers are seeing the impact of better governance. It means the future of Osun children is brighter.

Propaganda can not defeat evidence. Governor Adeleke continues to prove that leadership is about service, not slogans. While critics are busy searching for faults, the administration is busy delivering outcomes.

Osun people can clearly see the difference. When roads are being fixed, workers are being paid, schools are improving, and students are excelling nationally, then the verdict is already written.

The attack on Adeleke over education has collapsed under the weight of facts. The APC should reconcile its rhetoric with the evidence.

As Osun state continues to record progress day by day, the opposition should prepare for further disappointment — ‘Amubo’, political rejection — at the polls.
