The Director General of the Advocacy for Strategic Alliance (ASA), Hon. Onifade, today paid a strategic visit to Ibadan, Oyo State, in a strong show of support for the Accord leading gubernatorial aspirant, Dr. Alhaji Hamzat Oriyomi.
The meeting with stakeholders of the Oyo State chapter of the Accord was centered on strengthening party structures and charting a clear course toward the 2027 gubernatorial election. In the course of deliberations, participants discussed practical steps on how to forge ahead and expand their reach beyond previous engagements. It was noted that the evolving political landscape requires sustained momentum and deeper grassroots mobilization to secure broader voter support.
While acknowledging that the membership strength of the Accord may not currently be the largest, stakeholders emphasized the need to extend the dividends of good governance to all citizens of Oyo State. The focus, they stressed, remains on inclusiveness, effective representation, and people-oriented leadership.
Accompanying the ASA DG was the Oyo State ASA Coordinator alongside his entourage, all of whom reaffirmed their commitment to building a stronger and more united political front. The meeting was described as a glorious and meaningful engagement, with all parties unanimously agreeing on the need for proper collaboration and strategic alignment ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
This development signals growing momentum within ASA, as the alliance continues to expand its reach and strengthen its influence across the state. The group called on all citizens and stakeholders in Oyo State to join hands in supporting a viable and responsible candidate capable of prioritizing the welfare and development of the people.
