As Osun State prepares for the 2027 elections, the people are being asked to make a choice based on performance, not promises.
Osun Accord, the platform that produced Governor Ademola Adeleke on August 15, 2026, says the same spirit of people-first governance must continue in the National Assembly and the State House of Assembly. For democracy to work, renewal must be earned through visible results and direct connection to the people.
Governance is about continuity. First terms are for laying foundations. Higher office or second terms allow leaders to finish what they started and deliver faster. When we change leaders halfway, projects are abandoned and progress slows down.
That is why Osun Accord is presenting leaders with proven records to the people of Osun.
For the Osun Central Senatorial District, Osun Accord is asking voters to elect Aare Abdulganiy Olaoluwa Ayobami Asejere. He has served the people for decades. He was Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Government. He also served as State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, under whose platform Governor Ademola Adeleke was elected in 2026. He later served as Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs. His experience in grassroots politics, party leadership, and government will help him attract federal projects and defend the interests of Osun Central in Abuja.
For the Osogbo/Olorunda/Odo-Otin/Boripe Federal Constituency, Osun Accord is asking voters to return Alh. Hon. Maruff Adewale Adebayo (Gangaria) for a second term. In his first term, he delivered drainage to fight flooding, built classroom blocks, improved roads, distributed relief materials, and sponsored motions to revive the Osogbo Steel Rolling Mill. A second term will enable him to complete ongoing projects and expand support for traders, artisans, and farmers.
For the Osogbo State Constituency, Osun Accord is asking voters to re-elect Hon. Lawal Bamidele Rasheed (LBR). As Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, he has promoted transparency. He has also implemented empowerment programmes that have impacted lives in Osogbo. Returning him will ensure the State Assembly continues to work with the Governor to deliver more dividends of democracy.
Osun Accord believes stability brings development. When leadership is consistent, businesses grow, projects move faster, and communities benefit.
This is not about entitlement. It is about accountability. The people are the final judges. Gangaria and LBR have been tested and trusted. Aare Asejere brings tested leadership from the grassroots to the state executive. They are coming to the people with their records.
As we approach 2027, let us think about good roads, functional schools, flood-free streets, and opportunities for our youths. Let us reward experience and allow those who have started the work to finish it.
