…From Defection to Regret: Osogbo Accord Media Force says political choices have consequences

Recent remarks attributed to Kikelomo Matuwo, a former PDP member from Osogbo Local Government Ward 14, have stirred debate across Osun State. Matuwo reportedly expressed regret over joining the All Progressives Congress (APC), complaining of “daily headaches” since defecting.
For supporters of the Imole movement, her lament is unsurprising. They say it confirms what political observers have long argued: loyalty, consistency, and patience pay more than political expediency.
Matuwo benefited politically under Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration, like many others who enjoyed opportunities from a party that rewards dedication and service. She chose to leave for the APC in search of a better political future.

With Osun’s August 15, 2026 governorship election approaching, confidence among Governor Adeleke’s supporters is growing. Many believe the administration’s performance and connection with the people will translate into electoral victory.
For those who left in search of greener pastures but now express disappointment, the message from the Imole movement is clear: political choices have consequences, and every politician must stand by the path they choose.
