As the countdown to the Osun 2026 gubernatorial election intensifies, one thing is now crystal clear: the contest on August 15 will not be a conventional political rivalry. It will be a direct showdown between the Osun chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the concerned, vigilant, and resolute people of Osun State.
The APC has rolled out its familiar playbook — inducements, importation of voters, manipulation of voter cards, and alleged plans to disrupt the process. But let it be known: total resistance awaits them.
No manipulation, no antics, and no shenanigans on election day will stand. The people of Osun are fully prepared to resist any form of electoral malpractice, in whatever shape it appears.
This election is the sacred moment when the people of Osun will determine their fate for the next four years. It is the purest expression of the people’s will, and they are prepared to defend it with every lawful and democratic means available.
Any attempt to rig or subvert this process, whether backed by local, state, or federal influence, is a complete waste of time and resources. Such tactics have been tried before in Osun and have consistently failed.
Come August 15, history will repeat itself — only this time, more decisively. We are ready. Whatever the APC is planning is not targeted at an individual, but at the generality of Osun people. And the people are united in their rejection of it.
Let the APC understand this clearly: we are not coming with force or violence. We are coming with peace, backed by an unwavering commitment to democracy.
Our strength lies in our numbers, our vigilance, our resolve, and our collective determination to protect the sanctity of our votes.
APC, this unnecessary desperation is both glaring and unbecoming. Instead of investing energy in genuine outreach, policy articulation, and winning the hearts of the people, you continue to chase shadows through manipulation. The people have seen through it all. Your plans have been exposed, and your antics have already been neutralized by public awareness.
The concerned people of Osun are not asleep. They are organized, alert, and resolute. On August 15, democracy will prevail — not by the loudness of political noise or the depth of pockets, but by the quiet, firm, and unstoppable power of the people’s will.
