AMBO’s claim that opposition members are pretending to be APC supporters to commit crimes in Osun raises more questions than answers. At a time when citizens are asking for justice over political violence, making claims without proof only creates suspicion and takes attention away from the victims.
The people of Osun have seen troubling videos, heard eyewitness accounts, and listened to victims who have shared their experiences. These voices cannot be ignored or covered up with political talk.
One important question needs a clear answer: if opposition members are dressing up as APC supporters to attack others, how many APC members have said they were attacked by these fake people? For weeks, almost every reported case has involved Accord or other opposition members saying they were attacked. The facts on ground do not support the story being pushed now.
AMBO now says vehicles were branded to damage his reputation and that those same vehicles were used to attack people in Osun. That claim does not hold up. If the vehicles were branded, were the people in the videos also branded? The videos, photos, and eyewitnesses at the scenes have named the attackers, and they are widely known as APC thugs in Osun. The evidence makes it hard for AMBO to change the story.
The party that made him a gubernatorial candidate has shown that it is against peace and unity in the state. The people of Osun know this, and no statement from AMBO will change their minds.
The Accord is a law-abiding and peaceful party. The Governor has told all supporters and members not to fight or attack anyone, even as attacks allegedly by APC members keep increasing every day.
If you say Accord members are branding vehicles to attack APC supporters, show your proof. How many APC members have been attacked? Are you saying Accord members are attacking themselves on purpose? That is not believable. Release your videos and photos for everyone to see. The evidence available shows that it is APC thugs who are killing and attacking the good people of Osun.
The viral video and the victim’s account tell a different story from the one now being told. Trying to make the attackers look like victims does not erase what the public has already seen and heard.
Anyone with real evidence linking people or parties to violence should take it to security agencies for investigation and prosecution. Accusations should not replace proper investigation.
The Osun State Police Command must stay neutral. Every allegation must be investigated properly, and anyone found guilty must face the law, no matter their political party. Justice must be fair and free from political pressure.
Osun needs peace. It needs leaders who will condemn violence and put justice above politics. Using violence for political gain reduces public trust and increases tension before the election.
History will remember those who stood for truth, accountability, and the protection of citizens, not those who only shifted blame.
Families of victims are not looking for excuses. They want justice, accountability, and assurance that this will not happen again. Those demands should be the main focus of every responsible leader.
