The Osun State Civil Society Matters Committee of the Imole Campaign Council, led by Hon. Funmisho Babarinde has felicitated residents of Osun State on the commencement of June 2026, wishing citizens peace, progress, and renewed hope in governance and development.
In a statement issued Monday, the committee urged residents to remain committed to unity and civic engagement, noting that collective participation is essential to sustaining democratic growth and social development in the state.
The group also advocated for the continuity of Governor Ademola Adeleke, calling on citizens to support his re-election bid ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
According to the committee, the current administration has recorded notable strides in infrastructure, social welfare, and governance reforms. It added that continuity would consolidate ongoing projects and deepen development across communities.
The statement further encouraged residents to prepare for the forthcoming election, emphasizing peaceful participation, voter education, and non-violent engagement throughout the electoral process.
The August 15 governorship election is expected to be a major political contest as stakeholders intensify mobilization and advocacy efforts ahead of the polls.
