In his Sallah message, Comrade Onifade said the festival is a powerful reminder of faith, obedience, and selfless sacrifice, as shown in the story of Prophet Ibrahim. He encouraged Muslims to reflect on the values of patience, devotion, compassion, and care for one another.
Eid-el-Kabir, he noted, is more than celebration. It is a time to strengthen family and community bonds, and to reach out in love to the less privileged.
Acknowledging the current socio-economic challenges, Comrade Onifade urged all Nigerians to remain hopeful and resilient. He called for peace and tolerance across religious and ethnic lines, stressing that national progress thrives only in an atmosphere of harmony.
