The Osogbo Accord Media Force (OAMF) has condemned the vandalisation of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s campaign billboards across Osun State, calling it a sign of desperation by the APC ahead of the 2026 governorship poll.

The group said the destruction of public campaign materials reflects intolerance and fear from politicians seeking power through intimidation, not public support.

“One of the billboards stood peacefully for months until it was vandalised by individuals driven by selfish political interests,”OAMF stated.

“It is unfortunate that some desperate politicians believe violence and intimidation are pathways to power. Destroying billboards will not change Osun’s political reality.”

OAMF insisted that tearing down posters can not erase Adeleke’s connection with the masses. “You can destroy Adeleke’s billboards, but you can not destroy his acceptance. The people stand with him because they’ve seen leadership that prioritises welfare, development, and inclusiveness.”

The forum urged security agencies to investigate the repeated vandalism and prosecute those responsible. “Democracy should be built on healthy competition, not politics of bitterness and destruction.”

OAMF also called on political actors to embrace peace and issue-based engagement as the state approaches 2026.
